Before you start

What you need

Less than you might think. There is nothing to buy from us.

A server

Any VPS or dedicated machine running Linux or Windows. This is the one thing that costs money, and you pay your cloud provider, not us.

A Google account

It is the sign-in for VpnHood! MANAGER, the free panel that installs and runs your servers for you.

No system administration

The install is a single command you paste, or you can hand the panel an SSH login and let it do the work.

A domain name — optional

Own one and you get a free, automatically renewed TLS certificate; skip it and a self-signed certificate works fine.

Getting started

Four steps to a working VPN

  1. Sign in

    Open VpnHood! MANAGER and sign in with your Google account.

  2. Add your server

    Follow the install steps to put VpnHood! SERVER on your machine.

  3. Create an access key

    Issue a key from the Access Token page, with the limits you choose.

  4. Share the key

    Anyone with VpnHood! CLIENT pastes it in and is connected.

Rather not use the VpnHood! MANAGER panel at all? VpnHood! SERVER also runs on its own — install it manually on Windows, Linux, or Docker.
