VpnHood Server IP
The VpnHood Server IPs, versions, and countries are collected and saved in the VpnHood Access Server database. The VpnHood Server IP may identify the hosting provider and the country where the VpnHood Server has been set up, but this doesn’t provide information about who’s running the server or accessing it.
Client IP Address
You can configure your VpnHood Server to send your client IP address to the Access Server or not. If you decide to send it, VpnHood Access Server can perform some operations to fight against DDoS attacks, scanning, and similar hacking attempts. We do not save or log your client IP addresses in the VpnHood Access Server database by default unless you explicitly enable it. If you allow keeping your user’s IP address, you are responsible for your client’s privacy policy.
Server SSH Credential
We do not save your VpnHood Server credential unless you explicitly ask us to keep it for future use.
Our VpnHood Servers
You can order a VpnHood Server from us so we manage your servers. You can configure how to log your client activity, and you are responsible for your client’s privacy policy.
Client Activity
We try to keep you and your client’s privacy as much as possible. You can also have some control over your client’s privacy. Depending on the hosting your choose, you may need to track your client’s activity to resolve notice(s) of copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
We have tried our best to let you minimize your client’s tracking and offer various options. You may not like it, but unfortunately, depending on the law of the country of your VpnHood Server hosting, it may be mandatory to save some tracks to resolve infringement notices.
The access server cannot track your user’s activities, but VpnHood Servers can do it the same as any other VPN service. VpnHood Servers delete their log files after 30 days by default, but you can change it on your VpnHood Server.
You can choose one of the following options for your clients’ Activities’, and you are responsible for your client's privacy policy.
* No tracking
You can configure your server not to track anything about user activities and disable or redact all users’ IP activity.
* Local Port Tracking
You can configure your VpnHood Server just to track the local port opened by your client. In that case, you can trace the user with a device ID or user account for Notices of Claimed Infringement, but the VpnHood Servers do not store any information about client IPs.
* Destination IP Tracking
You can configure your VpnHood Server to log destination endpoints (IP+Port) associated with the client ID.
* Full IP tracking
You can configure your VpnHood Server to log destination endpoints (IP+Port) plus your client endpoints associated with the client Id.
Your Data
We do not sell or share any data of you and your clients with any third party.
Forget me
You can request to delete all your account and data Access Server database. Still, it is almost impossible to erase your data from our old backups created by database cloud services such as Azure database.
